New Bike Day: The Factor Ostro VAM
New bike day is always fun. Especially when the bike is from a brand that is entirely new to the TBD family. But with our friends at ACME Bicycle Co working closely with Factor over the past few years, we wanted to give their well reviewed aero race machine - the Factor Ostro VAM - a try.
First impressions? First, the bike feels seriously quick. To be fair, my road bike for the past four years was decidedly not aero. But it will be interesting to see if this initial impression holds true once I get into some racing. Second, the build quality is excellent - for instance the factory build with a CeramicSpeed bottom bracket and headset. And last, but perhaps most importantly, the bike looks great. The “Factor Racing Green” is beautiful, and super dynamic depending on the light. In low light it looks almost black, but then it really pops in direct sunlight.
Stay tuned for a full review on the Factor Ostro VAM once I have the chance to put some real miles into the bike.
